Efforts to promote mobility and inclusivity through cycling are gaining momentum in Chicago, with initiatives aimed at making cycling accessible to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. Programs like adapted cycling for those with disabilities, underscore the push towards inclusivity, providing specialized equipment and safe environments for everyone to experience the benefits of cycling. More Outdoors highlights the link between cycling infrastructure and societal equality, suggesting that more equitable cycling paths contribute to a more inclusive Chicago.

“Wilderness itself is the basis of all our civilization. I wonder if we have enough reverence for life to concede to wilderness the right to live on?”
